Full Time 1st shift – 7 am – 3 pm
Position Summary:
Responsible for the inspection of in-process, incoming and/or outgoing components and finished product to ensure meeting company and/or customer standards.
Essential Functions:
Inspect material and product to customer or FTI specification. Conduct visual and dimensional inspection. Utilize tools that include but are not limited to; micrometers, calipers, gauges and computers to perform test. Ensure all product is clean and/or polished.
Utilize blueprints (if applicable) to ensure parts meet specified tolerances. Ensure revision listed on sales or purchase order matches revision of part being inspected
Assemble boxes, label as required, package products, and prepares for shipment. Utilize specific packaging instructions from customer.
Work with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering or Sales to resolve any deficiencies.
Maintain and file records on all inspected parts. Enter all required information using the manufacturing software.
Perform all duties as required per the appropriate Quality Management System Procedures.
Maintain clean work area. Adhere to all safety guidelines, and company policies.
Requirements:
No prior inspection experience is necessary, but preferred. Attention to detail and willingness to learn is necessary.
No formal educational training is necessary, but position requires fundamental reading, intermediate mathematics (i.e. basic understanding of fractions and decimals for determining measurements and specifications) and IT skills (log on and off of software operations for data collection – manufacturing software). Basic understanding of measuring tools (ruler, tape measure etc…will train on calipers micrometers etc… as required).
Able to work under deadlines with customer satisfaction as primary objective
Strong communication skills
Occasional heavy lifting (approx. 30 pounds)
Must be willing to work occasional overtime to meet customer objectives.
