Fiberoptics Technology Inc. (FTI) certification to ISO9001:2008 and ISO13485:2003 has been extended to the company’s manufacturing facility in Naples Florida. The extension was awarded after the perfect completion of a Stage Two audit conducted by SAI Global in December 2012. SAI is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
The certificate extension covers the manufacture of glass and plastic fiber optic lighting components and fiber optic light sources for Medical, Industrial, Military and Commercial applications.
The effort was led by David Fortin, Manufacturing Manager, and Cheryl Williams Plant Manager for the Naples facility. All Naples employees played a role in the certification process, which began in January 2012.
“Attaining this extension is very important to our long term vision for the corporation; to be an accountable,low risk, single source, (fiber optic and electronic product) manufacturing partner in medical, military,commercial, and industrial market spaces.
As we currently experience, responsible corporations are increasing vendor scrutiny to mitigate risk, while government agencies increase surveillance to protect the public. The benefit of a certified management system ‘umbrella’ covering all manufacturing locations provides optimal assurance of low risk association to our customers and customer prospects.
